PICK "4" - August 27, 2014
Greetings! WOW is all I can say for how well you ladies know your clubs! The scores for this week's POD using only 4 clubs were awesome! Even though we only had 33 ladies participate, it appears that good time was had by most. Congrats to the winners!

MUTT & JEFF - August 20, 2014
Greetings Ladies!
Well, we had a very slow Wednesday for "Mutt & Jeff". There were only 27 ladies. Mother Nature didn't help much!
For those of you who aren't as ancient as I, Mutt & Jeff were cartoon figures. Mutt was very short and Jeff was very tall. This leads to the idea of only counting the par 3 hole and par 5 holes. There were some good scores last week.
Congrats to the winners!

CHICKEN SALAD RECIPE
Per numerous requests, here is the recipe for the delicious Chicken Salad Micheller served at the Club Championship. Thanks, Micheller! Enjoy!!!
Ingredients:
Servings:
NOTE: the curry is optional. I didn't put any in the salad.
- 2 cups diced cooked chicken breasts (can used canned)
- 1 cup grapes, cut in half
- 1/2 cup diced celery
- 1 cup diced fresh apple
- 3 -4 tablespoons chopped nuts
- 1/2 teaspoon curry (optional)
- 1/2 lemon, juice of
- 1 cup mayonnaise
Directions:

Place chicken, grapes, celery apple and nuts in a bowl. Mix together mayonnaise, lemon juice and curry and fold into chicken mixture. Serve on a lettuce leaf or on a croissant.

SEPTEMBER MYSTERY PLAYS
Greetings Ladies!
Well, believe it or not we have only ONE week left in August! WOW...where did the time go? This means that we will begin the Mystery Plays in 2 weeks on September 3.
As we have done the past couple of years, we are asking you if there is a new POD you would like us to try. It can be something you've played somewhere else, a play you've heard about, or one that you invented.
Please email your ideas to me in the next week and lets have some fun. I already have a couple of ideas in mind, but they are not set in stone. I'd love to have a lot of ideas to choose from.
I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks for your support!

NUTTS - August 6, 2014 - AMENDED
Hey! We had a great turnout for the final POD before the Club Championship. There were 51 ladies this week!! Fantastic! There were all kinds of "NUTTS" out there. Here are the nutty winners! Congrats!!! AMENDED...Typo on Jeannine's score and flight break! No payouts changed! ;(

CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP INFORMATION
Greetings Ladies!
As the Club Championship inches closer, Judi has been busy determining members' eligibility to compete for Club Champion.
There are just a couple of ladies who don't have the required number of PODs to be eligible to compete. Judi has contacted each of these ladies and they are aware of what they need for their eligibility. If anyone has any questions regarding their eligibility, you can give Judi a call (801-941-4897) and she will help you. Otherwise, "No news is good news" so we'll see you there!
The cost for the Championship is $45. This includes $35 for greens fees and mandatory cart, plus the $10 entry fee. For the Championship, NO PUNCH PASSES will be accepted.
All monetary payouts will be in the form of gift certificates to Sun Hills. We will be paying 1st, 2nd and 3rd Gross and Net in each flight. There will be Closest to the Hole contests on #6, #8, #13 & #15.
Any lady who gets their tee shot on the green on #3 will receive a sleeve of balls. We will have a Closest to the Squiggly Line and Closest to the Straight Line contests. The winners of these will receive a 9-hole pass to Sun Hills.
There will be Tee Prizes and treats to help get us through the round. And, our awesome Social Committee has a delicious dinner planned for us after the competition.
Deadline to sign-up is this Wednesday, August 6. If you haven't done so already, please do so by then.
