Greetings Sun Hills Ladies!
We had a very successful 2014 Closing Social at Golden Corral in Layton. There were door prizes for all and some very nice raffle items. Thanks to the generosity of you all, we raised enough in the raffle to be able to fund a good portion of the 2015 Opening Social!
Business Items:
We voted on 3 potential formats for the Club Championship. Proposal #1 was adopted. That kept the current format. The members were reminded that all efforts will be made to honor pairing requests, but there may be times when that may not be possible.
Brenda resigned from her post as Prize chair. Janice Ventura was elected to fill that vacancy. Welcome to the Board Janice!
Dodie and Judi announced that 2015 would be the last year they will serve as Tournament Chair and Handicap Chair respectively. Michelle will be the Tournament Chair apprentice next year. She will then take over that position in 2016.
At that time her post as Social Chair will be vacant. We encourage you to put your heads together and find someone among you who will be willing to plan our socials.
It was proposed that POD winnings in 2015 be spent in the Sun Hills Pro Shop rather than be awarded in Target gift cards. A vote was taken and the Sun Hills Pro Shop was adopted. This will be reflected in the 2015 revision of the league by-laws.
Lastly, I must apologize for not having any pictures in this post. The memory card in my camera is corrupted and all pictures are gone. I know you were all waiting on the edge of your seat for them and thus, SOOOO disappionted. However, have no fear...the camera will be up and running with a new card for the Opening Social!!!!!
