SEPTEMBERS POD's

As we head into the home stretch of the 2013 season, we will again have the ever popular "Mystery Plays" for our weekly POD's.

Rather than solicit ideas from you all, we took the liberty of searching all over the net and so we can play some new formats that we haven't tried.  The ones we have chosen sound fun so, hopefully, you will enjoy them.

One exception...this coming week we will be playing the ever popular "Dice Roll".  When you check in, you will be given a big die and the corresponding key to which club goes with each number.  You will roll the die on your TEE SHOTS ONLY!!!  This score WILL NOT BE POSTED!!!

ONE WOMAN SCRAMBLE, August 28, 2013

Greetings! We had another light turnout for our "One Woman Scramble".  Just 34 ladies chose to play this week.  With this in mind, there will only be 3 flights.  There were some really great scores turned in this week.  Jill Lunceford got a chip-in EAGLE on #12!  Way to go Jill!!!  Congrats to all the winners!

ONE WOMAN SCRAMBLE

Ladies, We will be playing a "One Woman Scramble" this week for our POD.  Since, in effect, we will each be playing the equivalent of 2 rounds of golf, Sun Hills will be splitting foursomes into twosomes.  If you are a threesome, you will be able to stay together.

This is a FUN but SLOW format, so please try to keep up your pace so play doesn't slow down too much.

Please let faster groups play through.  It will make for a more pleasant time for everyone!

ANNOUNCEMENT!!!

Ladies!

Chris asked that we make the following announcement:

Although the decision was made at last year's closing social to have the ladies spend their winnings at Sun Hills by November 31, 2012, since many of the ladies did not get this message, Sun Hills kindly extended this date. But it is time now to set a deadline on using winnings at Sun Hills.  Therefore, anyone who still has winnings on the books at Sun Hills will need to use that by Friday, September 27, 2013. I think most of the ladies have used up their winnings, though.

If you aren't sure if you have any winnings on the books, PLEASE check with Sun Hills.

BEAUTY & THE BEAST

Just a reminder...this week is Beauty & the Beast.  Those of you who signed up, either at Sun Hills or by email, please try to be at Sun Hills by 5:00 to get signed in.  Since we shotgun at 5:30 be need some time to get everyone checked in.

The cost is $50 per couple.  This includes golf, cart, dinner and prizes.  NO PUNCH PASSES THIS WEEK!

For those of you who didn't sign up and won't be playing, remember to call Sun Hills and get your tee time for the ONE WOMAN SCRAMBLE on August 28th.

Thanks to all of you who came out and competed in the 2013 Club Championship.  For the 3rd year in a row, our Champion is a first year member of the league!  We definitely attract the very best!  Congratulations to Debbie Pope for shooting an awesome 81!  Congratulations to all the ladies who played and placed in this years' Championship!!  You are all the very best!!!

We would like thank Sun Hills for supporting the needs of our league.  The course was in fine condition for our Championship.  We truly appreciate all you do for us and allow us to do.

LOW PUTTS - July 31, 2013

Greetings!  In spite of the heat, we managed to have 38 brave souls show up to put their putting skills to the test.  We take our hats off to you courageous 38!

REMEMBER...next week is the Club Championship so there will not be normal league play.  If you didn't sign up to for the Championship, call Sun Hills to make your tee-times for the 14th.
