GET READY...GET SET...GET SIGNED UP!

Hey Ladies!  It's finally time to sign up for Sun Hills Ladies Golf Association's 2012 season!  Our Opening Social is scheduled for March 28th.  Registration and Social runs from 5 to 6.  Dinner and meeting to follow. 


Please mail your completed form to Marian or RSVP no later than March 21, 2012.  You can email Marian or Dodie with your RSVP's.  If you have recruited new members, give them this BLOG site and have them complete the registration form as well.  We will need to know if they will be attending the social. 

 

To print the form, click on the "2012 Registration Form" tab above and copy it into Word and print it from there.  DON'T try to do it from Excel.  I am also going to do a generic email with the form attached.

Can't wait to get this new season going.  It should be AWESOME!!!

Lee Trevino - a true story - you gotta love him...  

   

One day, shortly after joining the PGA tour in 1965, Lee Trevino, a  

professional golfer and married man, was at his home in Dallas , Texas  

mowing his front lawn, as he always did.  

A lady driving by in a big, shiny Cadillac stopped in  front of his  

house, lowered the window and asked, "Excuse me, do you speak English ?"  

Lee responded, "Yes M'aam, I do"  

The lady then asked, "What do you charge to do yard work ?"  

Lee said, "Well, the lady in this house lets me sleep with her".  

The lady hurriedly put the car into gear and sped off.

******REMINDER******

Hey Ladies!  Don't forget to renew your UGA card.  You need to have this done before the league starts in April.  If you didn't get your renewal packet from UGA, you can just get on-line and renew.  It's fast, easy and conventient.

Also, if any of you have recruited new members, please let them know that if they currently have a UGA card at another course, they MUST multiple list with Sun Hills.  They can do that on-line as well.  If they don't have a card, encourage them to get on line and purchase it BEFORE the opening social.  This way we will we know they will be ready to golf in April.

Shampoo Warning!

I NEVER KNEW THIS!!! THIS WARNING INVOLVES SHAMPOO WHEN IT RUNS DOWN YOUR BODY AS YOU SHOWER WITH IT!!!!
I HAVE JUST RECEIVED THIS WARNING!

Shampoo Warning
I don't know WHY I didn't figure this out sooner!
I use shampoo in the shower!
When I wash my hair, the shampoo runs down my whole body, and
Printed very clearly on the shampoo label is this warning,

"FOR EXTRA VOLUME AND BODY."

No wonder I have been gaining weight!
Well! I got rid of that shampoo and I am going to

start showering with Dawn dish soap instead.
Its label reads,

"DISSOLVES FAT THAT IS OTHERWISE DIFFICULT TO REMOVE."
Problem solved!
If I don't answer the phone, I'll be in the shower!

TOO GOOD TO PASS THIS ONE UP!

THE NEVER ENDING SOAP OPERA OF MARGARET & BERT . . . . .

Bert always wanted a pair of authentic cowboy boots, so, seeing some on sale, he bought them and wore them home.

Walking proudly, he sauntered into the kitchen and said to his wife, "Notice anything different about me?"

Margaret looked him over. "Nope." 

Frustrated, Bert stormed off into the bathroom, undressed and walked back into the kitchen completely naked except for the boots. 

Again he asked Margaret, a little louder this time, "Notice anything different NOW?"

Margaret looked up and said in her best deadpan, "Bert, what's different? It's hanging down today, it was hanging down yesterday, it'll be hanging down again tomorrow." 

Furious, Bert yelled, "AND DO YOU KNOW WHY IT'S HANGING DOWN, MARGARET?"

"Nope.  Not a clue", she replied. 

"IT'S HANGING DOWN, BECAUSE IT'S LOOKING AT MY NEW BOOTS!!!!" 

Without missing a beat Margaret replied, "Shoulda bought a hat, Bert.
Shoulda bought a hat."

Hello Sun Hills Ladies!

The time to begin planning for the 2012 season has arrived for the Board.  We would like ideas for weekly Plays of the Day.  If you know of any FUN, POD's please comment to this BLOG post with suggestions (and rules if needed).  All ideas will be considered!

Also, if you have any other suggestions, ideas or concerns regarding the league feel free to email any of the Board members.  We appreciate your feedback.

SUN HILLS' NEW LOOK

Greetings Ladies!  The folks at Sun Hills have been busy this winter.  They have remodeled the Clubhouse, purchased an electronic tee-sheet program and brought in a new Partner.
SWING IT AGAIN was formerly in the Wal-Mart center in Hwy 193.  Chris Hickman has moved his business to Sun Hills.  Chris "H" is bringing with him his retail and teaching expertise.  He has golf equipment, clothing and other "golf necessities".
Chris also teaches golf.  He teaches on his simulator, the driving range and the golf course.  He has a website:  www.swingitagain.com .  Please check it out.

Stop in at Sun Hills this winter and check out the "new" digs and meet Chris "H".
