2015 SEASON revised (date correction)

Greetings Ladies!

The 2015 season is fast approaching.  We had our first planning meeting and the Opening Social date has been set for Wednesday March 25, 2015.  Golf will begin on April 1, 2015...this is no joke.  LOL!

The 2015 registration form is now on the "Registration Form" tab above.  In order to print the form you will need to:

Click on the tab
Right click on the form
Click "save image as..."
Give it any name you want
Put it in any area you want on your computer,

 ie "C Drive:"
Go to that drive and find the form, open and print.

We need to have these returned to Debbie no later than March 11, 2015.  You can send your check with the form or pay at the Social.

If you won't be able to attend the Social, please complete and return the form with your dues to Debbie so you will be included on the League Roster

If you know any ladies who would like to join Sun Hills Ladies, please give them the BLOG address. They can complete the form and mail it to Debbie, or you can indicate on your registration you will be bringing friends.

We are anticipating having a FUN year so don't miss out!

FEBRUARY BIRTHDAYS

SECRETARY/TREASURER

Ladies,

Due to overwhelming family difficulties, Karen Mitchell, the Sun Hills Ladies Secretary/Treasurer for the past 3 years, has tendered her resignation.

At this time it is necessary to fill this position as soon as possible.  We are reaching out to our current league members to help.  If any of you are interested in being the Secretary/Treasurer, please contact Vardell Laursen at vardell179@gmail.com.

The duties of this office include:

*Maintaining a Roster of Paid League Memeber
*Depositing Weekly League POD collections
*Maintaining and Reporting the League Bank Account Balance
*Ensuring that POD Winnings are Distributed the First Wednesday of the New        Month
*Voting Memeber of the League Board

We are going to miss having Karen on the League Board,  We are praying that her family difficulties will soon be over.  Karen will still be golfing in Sun Hills Ladies as her time and schedule permits.  So, we will be able to see her on the links.

THREE GOLFING PARTNERS DIED IN A CAR WRECK AND WENT TO HEAVEN

Upon arrival they discover the most beautiful golf course they have ever seen. St. Peter tells them that they are all welcome to play the course, but he cautions them that there is only one rule: Don’t hit the ducks in your first three months here.

The men all have blank expressions, and finally one of them asks, “The ducks?”

“Yes”, St. Peter replies, “There are millions of ducks walking around the course and if one gets hit, he quacks then the one next to him quacks and soon they’re all quacking to beat the band and it really breaks the tranquility. If you hit the ducks, you’ll be punished, otherwise everything is yours to enjoy.”

Upon entering the course, the men noted that there were indeed large numbers of ducks everywhere. Within fifteen minutes, one of the guys hit a duck. The duck quacked, the one next to it quacked and soon there was a deafening roar of duck quacks.

St. Peter walked up with an extremely homely woman in tow and asks, “Who hit the duck?”

The guy who had done it admitted, “I did.”

St. Peter immediately pulled out a pair of handcuffs and cuffed the man’s right hand to the homely woman’s left hand. “I told you not to hit the ducks,”, he said. Now you’ll be handcuffed together for eternity.”

The other two men were very cautious not to hit any ducks, but a couple of weeks later, one of them accidentally did. The quacks were as deafening as before and within minutes St. Peter walked up with an even uglier woman. St.Peter cuffed the man’s right hand to the homely woman’s left hand.

“I told you not to hit the ducks,” he said; “Now you’ll be handcuffed together for eternity.”

The third man was extremely careful. Some days he wouldn’t even move for fear of even nudging a duck. After three months of this he still hadn’t hit a duck. St. Peter walked up to the man at the end of the three months and had with him a knock-out gorgeous woman, the most beautiful woman the man had ever seen. St. Peter smiled to the man and then, without a word, handcuffed him to the beautiful woman and walked off.

The man, knowing that he would be handcuffed to this woman for eternity, let out a contented sigh and wondered aloud,

“I wonder what I did to deserve this?”

The woman responds, “I don’t know about you, but I hit a duck.”

It's getting to be the time when I'll start putting together the POD's for the 2015 Season.

If there is a new Play of the Day that you would like to try this year, or one that  we haven't played for awhile, or even one that you particularly dislike that we currently play, please either comment on this post or email Dodie at the address listed on the home page of the BLOG.

I will try to accommodate your requests as best as I can.  I'm open to any and all suggestions.
