2013 OPENING SOCIAL

The 2013 season is now officially underway!  We'd like to thank all of you who attended the Opening Social.  Thank you Sun Hills for allowing us to "take over" once again!  A good time was had by all!

Thanks to our new Social Chair, Vicki Miya and her committee Marie Suekawa and Tracy Montgomery for fixing us a delicious dinner.  The soups were wonderful!  The recipes will be posted on the BLOG. YUMMO!

We made a couple of changes to our by-laws that will be posted under the By-Laws page.  It was decided, by vote, that our winnings this year will come to us in the form of a Target Gift Card.  Brenda introduced our new sponsor program.  And of course some fantastic photos were taken...

Wild Night At Our House

                 HOW TRUE IT IS 

Another year has passed 
And we're all a little older.
 
Last summer felt hotter 
And winter seems much colder.

I rack my brain for happy thoughts, 
To put down on my pad, 

But lots of things, That come to mind
Just make me kind of sad.

There was a time not long ago 
When life was quite a blast.

Now I fully understand
About 'Living in the Past'. 

We used to go to friends homes,
Football games and lunches.

Now we go to therapy, to hospitals,
And after-funeral brunches.

We used to have hangovers,
From parties that were gay.   

Now we suffer body aches 
And sleep the night away. 

We used to go out dining, 
And couldn't get our fill. 

Now we ask for doggie bags, 
Come home and take a pill.

We used to travel often
To places near and far. 

Now we get backaches
From riding in the car. 

We used to go out shopping
For new clothing at the Mall 

But, now we never bother...
All the sizes are too small. 

That, my friend is how life is, 
And now my tale is told. 

So, enjoy each day and live it up...

EXCITING STUFF!!

Greetings Sun Hills Ladies!

We are excited to get the 2013 season started!  As you will see at the Opening Social next week, we are going to be announcing new programs that we are starting and getting feedback on new ideas.  We want to get new things going to keep our league fresh and exciting and still keep the fun and quality our league is known for.

One thing that we are focusing on is recruitment.  Sun Hills is very committed in helping us grow our league.  So, they are offering a complementary 9 hole w/cart round of golf to every current member who signs up a new paid member.  Additionally, the new member will received a sleeve of "Sun Hills Ladies" golf balls!  How cool is that!  THANKS SUN HILLS for your endless support!

Remember, if you haven't RSVP'd Karen for the Opening Social today is the deadline.  Email her ASAP.  If you can't attend the social but are going to play, please try to notify her as well as she is compiling the League Roster.

Hopefully we will see all of you next Wednesday.  Those of you who can't attend the Opening Social, we hope you are returning and we will see you on the course!!

2012 WINNINGS

Greetings!

Sun Hills has asked me remind to you that your winnings for last golf season need to be spent at Sun Hills no later than April 10, 2012.  That is the day of the opening social.  If you can get to Sun Hills prior to that date, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for helping Sun Hills begin the 2013 season with a clean slate.

Hope to see you all at the Opening Social.  Remember, your need to RSVP Karen Mitchell by April 3, 2013!

Even though you can't tell it by looking outside, the beginning of the 2013 season is just around the corner.  This is a friendly reminder to print your registration form off the tab on the top of the BLOG, and get it sent to Karen right away.  We need a firm count of all who are attending for food.

We have a new Board this year, so we would really appreciate your help.  If you have any questions regarding Sun Hills Ladies Golf Association, please email any of us or comment on this post.
